Meet Nkuubi Dominic Savio, 2nd Runner-up, YouthGive Contest 2024
Nkuubi Dominic Savio is a passionate youth development professional from Kampala, Uganda. Holding a B.A. in Economics and an MSc. in Monitoring & Evaluation, he serves as the Program Director of Youth Volunteer Corps and Co-Facilitator of the Community Engagement Fellows Africa. His dedication to youth service and social learning reflects his mission to create opportunities and drive meaningful change in underserved communities.
Growing up in Kampala, Nkuubi witnessed firsthand the struggles of young people faced with domestic violence, poverty, and limited access to education. Determined to make a difference, he joined Youth Volunteer Corps Headquarters as an intern in 2022 and soon established the Uganda Chapter. Through his leadership, YVC has expanded to schools and communities, providing platforms for youth to sign up as volunteers and contribute to transformative community projects.
As the Second Runner-Up in the YouthGive Contest, Nkuubi’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience and the impact of collective action. His work inspires young people to take charge of their futures and make a difference in their communities.
